What a song, what a writer , what a band. It's one of my all-time favourites, too. I have a live CD of Roger's that he only sold at gigs and his covers of his Supertramp work is flawless. By the way, Kathleen Edwards (another Hodgson fan) has just released a stunning version of the Logical Song) x

Legacy and what we leave behind are subjects I've been thinking about a lot lately.

Nothing ever really dies, the very act of a cover is a new creation too.

Happy Easter to you and yours!

Great cover, great performance on every instrument, like McCartney on McCartney/Maybe I'm Amazed.

I share your admiration for McCartney as the creative force in the Beatles, and the best voice ever. Until me, anyway.

A couple of friends from my earlier days gifted me a number of Super Tramp albums (vinyl) some time ago, they are treasured, I love Super Tramp, and now when I see the LP’s or hear ST I think of my friends and all the fun we had together many years ago. Music is indeed very powerful.

It’s a great song, also one of my Supertramp favourites and an excellent cover. Not easy for your solo show so zi’m guessing not on your set list. I’m hoping to see you in York, we last saw you in Norwich, couldn’t make Latitude (despite it being really local) as it was Saturday. Remembering your post about spending so long choosing the paint colour for the studio, it was worth it.

Hi Nerina, wow what a newsletter and what a cover, I'd actually forgotten about the Supertramp track! I was expecting the fabulous Tom Waits 'Long way home' but I'm not dissapointed it's a fabulous cover, thank you.

Well, that got to me on several levels. The Easter Bunny didn't visit, here, so thank you for this. Also I think McCartney was the main creative force in the Beatles, so it's great to see someone else giving him some positive vibes. Supertramp were a favourite of my brother and this track was his favourite of theirs. So your cover brought some tears to my eyes - in a good way - as I remembered Michael. He would have got a kick out of seeing this. Thank you!

Very enjoyable. Thanks! McCartney's 'Here Today' has the part "you were here today for you were in my song" and that makes me cry every time. Crying now as I think about it.

You clever, clever person, that is absolutely brilliant, and this coming from a huge Supertramp fan!!

I had the pleasure of meeting John Helliwell through a friend when he lived in Maidenhead. A thoroughly nice guy.

Happy Easter, Nerina and thank you! 👌🎶❤️
