Hello Dear Reader Only a few days ago, I spent a happy evening regaling Gary Crowley and an attentive audience at The Exchange with stories and observations from my career so far. It was weird after a few months of self imposed hermitry to talk so much and to think about things I hadn’t really given much thought to over the years. But in the days since, I have been in a reflective mood which can only be summed up as intense gratitude for a wonderful adventure so far and the hope of more adventure ahead.
We were at The Exchange - a birthday treat for me. Special because was with my two music loving daughters (who also enjoy your music) & seeing a real musician as a person opening up their thoughts was great. Maybe you have a purpose in education... Nerina, you were humble, funny, thought-provoking & encouraging to the desire to create (trying to avoid the ‘inspiring’ cliché). Sounds a bit weird but your music has been a thread in our lives on & off. It was so good to hear you chat. Having just acquired our first kitten we will send a donation to PDSA.
As I read this, I have , in the past 30 minutes learned about Parson John Russell for the first time. But let's talk about you on IWD. You certainly have shared your creativity with the world and made it better for your existence. You make people happy and you make us think.

I have been making "dad jokes" for many more years than I have been a dad. Whenever anyone talks about having a purpose, I always pretend I think they said porpoise. The fact that you don't say "a purpose" in this newsletter spoils this joke. Boo!
