Hello Dear Reader Only a few days ago, I spent a happy evening regaling Gary Crowley and an attentive audience at The Exchange with stories and observations from my career so far. It was weird after a few months of self imposed hermitry to talk so much and to think about things I hadn’t really given much thought to over the years. But in the days since, I have been in a reflective mood which can only be summed up as intense gratitude for a wonderful adventure so far and the hope of more adventure ahead.
As I read this, I have , in the past 30 minutes learned about Parson John Russell for the first time. But let's talk about you on IWD. You certainly have shared your creativity with the world and made it better for your existence. You make people happy and you make us think.
Please continue to write, both here and musically. Thank you ,dear Nerina🌹🇨🇦
I have been making "dad jokes" for many more years than I have been a dad. Whenever anyone talks about having a purpose, I always pretend I think they said porpoise. The fact that you don't say "a purpose" in this newsletter spoils this joke. Boo!
That’s a lovely song and ad, and I have indeed bunged some money their way. It was a timely reminder that I feel the same about my old lab after he was really flippin’ annoying on his walk.

A truly heartwarming song, and for a really worthwhile charity, Nerina! Long live Maggie I say! 🐕❤️
“— whence it came” - not “ —from whence it came —“
“Whence” means “from where”.
Sorry, pet peeve. I’ve taken my pedant hat off now.
Good to hear news of the new tune :)
