You and I have just passed significant birthdays. I believe the thoughts you having are evidence of this, and staying ahead of the game can seem increasingly important, sometimes referred to as dreams. Well, I hope that with what has happened in your life recently, you feel your dreams are on track. It is definitely because of who you are, your beautiful talent and huge determination that you have arrived at where you are now. To use a hackneyed phrase that someone used on me, 'this is the beginning of the rest of your life'.
As an aside, my current concern is WTF have they done to PG Tips?!! 🙂♥️
53 is a bit old for my first tattoo but I'd go with "Happiness, like a skittish butterfly, will only come to settle on your shoulder if it senses your nonchalance". Maybe a T-shirt will do. I love a bit of NP merch.
What would you do if you were filthy rich??? Well, that altruistic leaning that most "filthy rich" don't have is probably why people like you and I will never be.....The "killer, me first" instinct shared only by successful politicians, high flying "business people" and other sociopaths results in the rest of us having to sit and ponder where the human species took that wrong turn and is it reversible? Don't get me wrong, I know there are a few (too few) of the "Elite" that do care, but I hope enough to deliver some form of salvation (in the completely non- religious sense) to humanity. That's where you songwriters come in, as a form of educationist bit by slow bit chipping away at our pre-conceived rigid notions and spreading a little love, commonality and it has to be said revolution (in a soft way) to make the world a bit better. Unfortunately, I guess there will never be a way of setting an emoji lyric to music.......As always keep on dooin' what you're dooin' girl!
