I also braved central London yesterday, dodging the two sets of marchers and mobs of Chelsea fans; on the way home to North London I treated myself to a half bottle of champagne to compensate. Except: when I opened it later, the cork flopped out with a feeble sigh of resignation and the champagne turned out to be off, in a neat metaphor for the week. I can't wait to see you at the Albert Hall in a fortnight, and COME ON YOU GUNNERS!
Wasn’t the atmosphere in the centre of town weird yesterday? I really didn’t like it, couldn’t wait to get out again. I so relate to your champagne experience - hopefully we will have occasion for a whole bottle on the 24th….🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
There was a really unsettling something-unpleasant-is-brewing atmosphere yesterday. I beat a retreat as soon as I could too; it seemed as though everyone had become a replicant, just blankly barging me out of the way without a backwards glance at every turn. I have *everything* crossed for a good outcome on the 24th, and look forward to being able to unclench my jaw, breathe properly and having a normal heart rate again when it's all over🥂 🙏🤞
Truly hoping that one day in the future, Rihanna releases "Bitch Don't Piss On My Parka". I can imagine it being a hit with the mayflies on TikTok 🤣
I have managed to sort out accommodation for the weekend of the RAH show, as I am at Mighty Hoopla the day before and a good mate of mine is kindly putting me up on his sofa bed. Looking forward to both immensely (although I suspect I won't be rocking up to RAH in a T-shirt of either Cher or Patsy Stone. Unless you would prefer me to?)

Third…if we don’t get a rendition of this new spontaneous hymn to the gods (complete with strings) at RAH, I will be forced to be disappointed.
Fourth…puppy class is perhaps one of the most humbling experiences I’ve ever been part of. Congratulations on you all (coat included) making it through mostly unscathed.
